About Nova 3

Nova 3 Engineering is a Manitoba corporation founded in 1981 by Victor Thielmann, P. Eng and the late Mike Mitousis, with the purpose of providing design and consulting engineering services to the construction industry.  They were later joined by John Guenther, P. Eng as the head of the mechanical department in 2001.

 

Located in the center of Canada, Nova 3 Engineering Ltd. performs mechanical and electrical engineering services in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, the maritime provinces, Northwest Territories, Nunavut and the Yukon.  Our services are primarily geared to design and inspecting mechanical  and electrical systems for buildings including HVAC, plumbing, temperature controls,  lighting, high voltage services, fire alarm systems amongst many others.

 

Nova 3 has successfully completed a wide spectrum of engineering work including: Health Care, Institutional, Education, Residential and Industrial projects.  In addition Nova 3 Engineering has substantial experience with LEED© and similar energy cognizant building practices.  We are dedicated to providing our clients with the most practical design through the efficient application of the latest technologies available.

Vic Thielmann

FEC, P.Eng, Principal

Vic Thielmann, P. Eng. has over 34 years electrical design experience in a wide spectrum of industrial, commercial, health care, residential and institutional construction projects with a primary interest in building electrical power and distribution systems.  Mr. Thielmann serves the Company as Senior Electrical Engineer and is responsible for the overall operation of the company.

 

John Guenther

FEC, P.  Eng, LEED ®  AP, Partner

John Guenther, P. Eng. is a Partner in Nova 3 Engineering Ltd., and a graduate Mechanical Engineer with primary interest in building heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) design, building energy analysis, and plumbing systems design.  Mr. Guenther has over 25 years design experience in commercial retail and office space, industrial building and processes, hospital and private surgical centers, apartment and multi-family housing, and institutional work.  Mr. Guenther also serves the company as Senior Mechanical Engineer and is responsible for the day to day operation of the Mechanical Engineering Department.
